Ethan Schutz is President & CEO of The Schutz Company, publishers, intellectual property managers, and consulting experts specializing in solutions that produce cultural transformation in progressive organizations. In this capacity Ethan promotes, encourages, and directs the use, development, and expansion of these bodies of work in the US. Globally he oversees a network of partner organizations and practitioners who utilize and implement these solutions across 91 countries and territories, and 30 languages.

The Schutz Company delivers training, coaching, and in-depth practitioner training programs nationally and internationally through partners, in support of consultant excellence and creativity. The Schutz Company produces Human Capital Excellence through its solutions offerings — The Human Element®, Life Orientations® (LIFO®), True Alignment®, Radical Collaboration®, The Human Element in Customer Service™, and the Implicit Career Search® — that help people work better together, and thus help organizations solve problems and achieve exceptional results.

As an architect in the first part of his career, Ethan managed projects where he encountered people—plumbers, city inspectors, engineers, general contractors, and others—who did not work collaboratively with each other. Motivated by this experience to make change, he now applies his combined business experience from the building industry and his knowledge of human interactions to his consulting and training work.

Specializing in consulting, training, and coaching using The Human Element, Ethan delivers Human Element programs, coaching and licensing programs on The Human Element to clients of various industries and types. He focuses on the areas of leadership, team building, and group facilitation, as well as integrating The Human Element into in-depth leadership and management programs for organizational interventions of scale.

He has worked with a variety of clients in many industries including the United Nations, NASA, the US Army, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Sanofi-Aventis, Abbott Labs, Abbvie, BAE Systems, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific, Santander Bank, Melinta, Syneos, Regeneron, Canadian National Defence, Swedish Tax Agency, Columbia University, American University/NTL, and the Center for Creative Leadership.
